Program, to provide members free and confidential financial counseling
and education.

Free Education Seminars in October
Four free member education seminars will be held this quarter presented by BALANCE:
- The Road to Riches: Basics of Saving & Investing
Wednesday, October 25; 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how to determine how much money to commit to savings, what savings and investment tools are available and how to determine which combination of investments is best suited to their needs.
- First-time Homebuyers
Thursday, October 26; 6:00-7:30 p.m.
This workshop covers pre-purchase issues such as budgeting, determining how much house is affordable, saving for a down
payment and other costs, credit reports and debt-to-income ratios as
well as the mortgage lending process.
- Building a Better Budget (presented in Spanish)
Monday, October 23; 6-7:30 p.m.
After identifying short-, mid-, and long-term goals, participants learn how to design realistic spending plans to live within their means and savings plans to reach their goals.
- First-time Homebuyers (presented in Spanish)
Tuesday, October 24; 6-7:30 p.m.
This workshop covers pre-purchase issues such as budgeting, determining how much house is affordable, saving for a down
payment and other costs, credit reports and debt-to-income ratios as
well as the mortgage lending process.
